Q. How do I know this is not a
scam?
A. Unlike actual scams that ask you to pay upfront to avoid service disconnection, or
some other bogus reason, we don't ask for money to start our service. We only bill you once you have
received your credit or refund. You control your money and when to pay us, knowing then that you fully
benefited from our services. Please check our testimonials, clients, and our
Florida Division of Corporations record for further validation that we are legitimate.
And below is an actual example of a refund* we helped a client obtain:
Q. My utility says there are no mistakes. Why are they wrong?
A. Where do we begin? For starters, with all the rates, taxes, tariffs, and
people involved with providing your utility bill, you statistical have a very high probablity of an error.
Some sources claim the chance of an error can be as low as 50%, others say 75%+. Why take a
chance? Plus, check our resources for newsworthy examples of utility
mistakes.
Assuming this utility person you spoke with is correct and there is no mistake, isn't it worth
validating? Remember, if you read about our services, we only bill you once we
have confirmed a credit or refund for you. In other words, if you don't get any money back, there is nothing
for you to pay us. However, if there is a mistake and you trusted the utility person, you will continue to
pay those higher bills. Why take this risk?!?!?
Lastly, unfortunately the good people working at the utility don't know absolutely everything, and sometimes can be
wrong. Here's an example email* of where we educated utility staff on the appropriate taxes and statutes on
how far back to credit a customer:
Please note how persistent we needed to be in order to get the accurate credit calculation. This is not
unusual.
Q. Why is it common for utility bills to contain
errors?
A. We touched on this a bit already, but to elaborate... Utility bill errors are
extremely common because the entire process is complex and confusing. Meter changes, rate
structures, various taxing authorities, multiple services, volume of invoices, computer systems, accuracy of
consumption, and staffing are just a few of the reasons that your utility bill may contain errors.
Our specialists navigate these issues on your behalf to ensure you are being billed accurate and
fair.
Q. How do I benefit from a utility
audit?
A. Utility Revenue Recovery Specialists, Inc. will utilize years of utility
billing experience and analysis to review your bills at no cost to you. We will confirm your bills
do not contain incorrect tax charges, wrong rates, inappropriate surcharges and other possible billing
mistakes. Our audit will provide you with peace of mind that your utility company is billing you
accurately.
Q. What happens if a billing error is identified?
A. URRSI will notify your utility provider of the error and make a refund request
on your behalf. We will communicate this information to you so that you are aware of the corrections and the
anticipated refund. You will only be invoiced from URRSI if we are successful in obtaining a refund for
you. All future savings are 100% yours to keep.
Q. Can't we do this ourselves?
A. If you could, you would have done so already. Very few organizations have the
staff or expertise to audit their utility expenses thoroughly and effectively. URRSI is able to provide
timely comprehensive utility audits because our specialists bring years of utility billing experience and
analysis. We are acutely aware of practices, rates, terminology, and issues that may result in errors on your
utility bill. And if you believe your bill is accurate, why not have us validate those findings
anyways? Again, as stated throughout, our services are absolutely FREE unitl we identify a credit or refund
for you, then we co-share in those. We are only paid if you get money back.
Q. How do you get paid?
A. When we are successful in processing a refund on your behalf - you pay us a portion
of those funds after you have received them. There is never a net cost to you or your company, only a net
savings/refund. As a reminder, all future savings are 100% yours to keep. It's that simple!
Q. I received some marketing info from you.
Why?
A. We have wizards in our marketing team who have studied all the utilties and the
customer types we typically audit. If you received a marketing communication from us, whether email, fax, or
USPS, it's because your utility bill has a very high probability of having an error. We have a greater than
75% success rate for all our clients we proactively identified. Since there is a 3 in 4 chance we can save
you money, at no cost to you, why are you not signing up right this minute?!?!? Please complete the two simple forms we need in order to get your utilit bill audit started.
